Treat Mum with a Trio of Flavoured Butters

What’s better than butter, you ask? Flavoured butter, of course! Level-up your Mother’s Day brunch with the ideal edible gift in the form of a trio of flavoured butters. We’ve pulled together three delectable flavours including chai-spiced butter, maple-infused butter, and herbed butter, adorned in edible florals. The best bit? Not only do they taste delicious, but they make for a super-easy gift to create for mum.


Chai Spiced Butter

  • 250g unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 pinches ground cloves

Maple Infused Butter

  • 250g unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup maple syrup (use real Canadian syrup, not flavoured maple syrup)
  • 1/2 tsp salt flakes
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Herbed Butter with Flowers

  • 250g unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup of roughly chopped soft herbs such as dill, coriander, tarragon, parsley, and thyme.
  • 1 clove of garlic, grated or crushed
  • Rind of a lemon, grated (optional)
  • Edible flowers and whole herb leaves (optional)

Tip: to maximise shelf life of your butters, tell mum to store them in the freezer and cut off pieces as she needs! If she stores them in the fridge, be sure to use them within a week.
